This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The bottom has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Some folks question whether digital art is a reputable medium. I used to be of two minds about this as well, however I have come to the conclusion that in this information age we find ourselves in, and the concomitant result of the rapid erosion of our privacy, I think that digital art is one of the only truly noble uses of a computer. As with any medium, if you can express your heart's vision, then the medium is not important. It doesn't matter what you do in your life, it does matter that whatever you choose to do, do it with all your heart.
I'm self-taught using Photoshop, (and every plugin filter that piques my interest/that I can find) also Bryce 3-D rendering, and a few more stand-alone graphics programs.. Self-taught means that there are no rules, and no one to say "You can't do that". About 5 years ago, I lost every thing I'd made,(ten years worth) along with all my software and hardware. That about killed something inside me, and I didn't do any more in digital art/graphics until earlier this year or so, and I realized that losing it all had broken my heart. But, I'm comin' back. Motto: I knew it was wrong, but I did it anyway.
Thank you for the favs you are really talented and so whether I am qualified or not I still say you are an artist no doubt. I just recently lost everything I had worked 12 years to build my land, my music studio, my year's income, and the ability to walk and I know how stunned it leaves a person. Glad you are feeling your sails fill with the wind again.
Thanks, Amy. (Their filling w/ something, anyway...)I think all any of us needs is vision; that is, if we can see the piece in our minds eye, then it's going to come out, via whatever media we choose. If you can see it clearly, all else follows.
